MENTAL HEALTH
Men are often the subject of consideration in mental health campaigns, including support campaigns and advertisements. This is with just cause. In 2019, the statistics state that there were 5,691 suicides registered in England and Wales, with around three-quarters being men (4,303). This is quite a worrying statistic that warrants some discussion - why so high?

According to some sources:

WHERE TO GET HELP / HOW TO HELP YOURSELF
To encourage men to look after their mental health, barriers need to be broken down and access for men made easier. This lack of contact is often put down to men not being able to open up and talk. This is not particularly helpful in creating an environment for change. If help is needed, consider the following avenues:
-
Search online for forums, groups or support networks for the subject that's affecting you the most
-
Use local services such as GP, NHS Trusts, walk-in centres to talk to healthcare professionals
-
Talk to relatives, friends or use helplines. This depends on what is impacting your mental health so use these pages for specific links or search online
-
Consider self-help books
